Loading Day for Perlan 2 glider at Minden! Thanks to awesome preparation and planning by the Mindenites we were ready to pack the trailer into the pre-loaded container.

In front of container Greg had built a shelf to hold 4 boxes of supplies off the floor. Along the right side of interior there was only 16 inches between trailer wall and container wall. We loaded metal shelf units with clear tubs of supplies, then plastic wrapped entire shelf unit, then carried into conainer, then secured with ratching straps with loops Greg had welded extra into container. The front metal chocks for the trailer tires were in place. The front spring loaded short tongue holder was in place. The trailer had already received a “haircut” meaning the tail fin was reduced to minimum height. The ramps were re-inforced and then the trailer pushed/pulled into the container. There was barely a skinny aisle, just enough for Stewart and Greg to exit the container. Then the lift legs had to be laid on the floor with the toe clamps already set to receive them. Perlan Soars!
